Since 2015 Julia Mason has been an OPS Art Educator and Artist. Her favorite medium is pen and watercolor. Her subjects include local imagery such as Cathedrals, homes and items from nature. She loves sharing her drawing skills with her students at Omaha South High Magnet and being a dog Mom to her Havapoo Ralph.

Omaha architecture and landmarks are a common theme in her work. Inspired by artists such as Libby Walker and souvenir shops such as Hola Lola Costa Rica, Julia combines stylistic elements of her favorite artists into her own compositions.

Upon returning from her study abroad in San Jose, Costa Rica, Julia began creating illustrations like the ones she collected in other cities. She enjoys seeing the nostalgia and joy her art brings to Omahans everywhere.
